Holy Over Hustleનમૂનો
Letting Go
After you begin allowing the Lord to rearrange your priorities, don't be surprised if he asks you to let some things go.
This is where we mess up sometimes.
It is hard to let go of the hustle--it may have served us well in other seasons. It isn't easy letting go of our wants and desires--after all, we are only human. And it stings when he asks us to let go of people.
We often hold onto relationships, jobs, coping mechanisms, and addictions long past their expiration date. What started as a way to numb the pain, deal with our past, or cope with big emotions turned into something beyond our control.
The people we surrounded ourselves with in former seasons might be unable to move forward with us in the new season God wants to bring us into. The busyness we used to avoid thinking about things can't follow us into a healthier season with more HOLY and less hustle.
Letting go is often painful.
We hesitate, not trusting that the Lord has our best interests at heart. But Jeremiah 29:11 says God has good plans for us, to give us a future and hope.
It's time to let go of everything that has been holding us back and do what Philippians 3:13-14 says: One thing I do: Forgetting what is behind and straining toward what is ahead, I press on toward the goal to win the prize for which God has called me heavenward in Christ Jesus.
Let go.
Forget the past.
Press on.
Today is a good day to begin to let go of hindrances, toxic relationships, jobs you felt like you were supposed to leave already, or the way you lash out when things don't go your way. There is a better way, and King Jesus wants to show it to you and walk it out with you each step of the way.
PRAYER: King Jesus, I need your help to let go of everything holding me back from your perfect will for my life. Please show me what or who I need to let go of, and help me to do it with immediate obedience. No more delays! Will you show me how to forget what is behind me and press on toward the goal you are calling me to? I am ready to seek HOLY over hustle, over addiction, over wrong relationships, and over unhealthy tools I have used up to this point. Thank you for walking this out with me so I am never alone. In your holy name, amen.
