Pause: A Month of Prayer in Five Minutes a Dayનમૂનો
Proclaim
“Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God.” (Phil. 4:6)
Prompt
I try to start and end my days on my knees. Maybe you were taught this practice or have heard it suggested at church or meetings.
I find starting and ending my day on my knees in an act of submission to God, and I’m in a much better place throughout the day. I am more compassionate and caring and feel more in tune with what God is doing in and through my life.
It’s my way of surrendering daily.
You’d be surprised how much a simple routine of morning and evening prayer can do to set the tone for how your day begins and ends.
But you know this. I've said it before, a few different times. So why are you still not praying on your knees? Today can be the day. Let go of your pride, humble yourself, and position yourself low… then close your eyes, raise your head to God, and talk to him.
Prod
As you pray today, ask God to humble you as you walk through your day. A humble and contrite heart honors God. As we make ourselves low, we elevate God to His rightful place as King over our lives.

Pray
Jesus, you satisfy my heart. You are everything I need. Please forgive me for my arrogance and pride. Keep me away from worldly things that puff up my ego and make me only think about myself. You are God, and I am not. I cannot do life without you anymore. I need you in every area of my life, and today, I commit to turning it all over to you and trust that you will provide for ALL my needs! Amen.

About this Plan
Depression. Loneliness. Comparison. Greed. Addiction. People-pleasing. These are tools of the enemy to steal your calling and rob your joy. In this reading plan, drawn from his book, Lance Lang invites you to neutralize those tools by pausing each day, studying scripture, reading encouragement, taking action, and refocusing your attention on Jesus. Press forward into what God has for you. Press pause.
