Faith & Love: A One Year Bible Reading Plan - Part 12નમૂનો
This chapter sees a shift from the seven seals, seven trumpets, seven scales, and seven horses to a new scene, the pregnant woman and the dragon. The birth and resurrection of Jesus are the centrepiece.
1. DESTINED TO RULE
This idea of shepherding with an iron staff brings Psalm 23 into view. He is a Good Shepherd, with His rod to protect and His staff to guide. He rules the nations with a new and better covenant. (They comfort me. Psalm 23:4)
2. SEATED IN HEAVENLY PLACES
Despite the attempts of the dragon to devour the child, He was caught up to God. It is finished. He has overcome! If Ephesians 2:6 is to be believed, we are now seated there with Him.
The victory is won. Our battle has been against the ‘principalities’ (Eph. 6:12) or the ‘waters of doctrine’ (Rev. 12:15), but the footstool of God (the earth) swallowed it up.
What does Christ’s victory mean for me?
How do I experience the rule of Christ in my life and world?
What could I do today to ‘be transformed’ so that I may ‘see’ from the heavenly places in which I am seated in Christ?
