Guardians Of Ancora Bible Plan: Ancora Kids Wonder About Heavenનમૂનો
IF SOMEONE YOU REALLY LIKE DIES AND THEY DON’T BELIEVE IN GOD, CAN THEY GO TO HEAVEN?
Chief storyteller, Fabula, answers:
This is a really difficult question, but I’ll have a go at answering it.
The Bible tells us that God is so pure and holy that no one who does any wrong can go anywhere near him. All of us do wrong things or think bad thoughts, so none of us would be comfortable in heaven, close to God.
This creates a big problem for God because he loves people and wants them to live with him in heaven for ever. That’s why Jesus became a person and died: see what the Bible says in Romans, chapter 5, verse 8.
If we believe in Jesus, say sorry to God and ask him to forgive us for the wrong things we do, then we belong to God. Everyone who belongs to Christ (that’s Jesus) is a new person, says 2 Corinthians, chapter 5, verse 17. What does the verse say about “the past”? It’s gone – and now everything is new.
It’s only because we believe in Jesus, and because God has made us new, that any of us can go to heaven. If we had not believed, we would still be in the state where we could not go near God, because of his total goodness.
Pray: What do you think of Fabula’s answer? Talk with God about it now.
