Sealed - Part 2નમૂનો
Day 3: The Seal and the Reach
Our arm muscles can help us with small tasks, like moving our fingers or pressing a button. They also allow us to perform more meaningful actions, such as standing up or extending our arms and making us reach higher for things above our heads.
The physical space that immediately surrounds someone is often called personal space - the length of someone's arm. When someone extends their arms, up or down, or around, that area is their space of reach – their area of influence.
The Bridegroom asking the bride to place His mark, His seal, on her arm says that everything within her reach must portray the glory of God.
There is a circumference around us, made up of the radius of our arm, which is the minimum area of our domain and influence. Everything that enters this area of personal space can be affected by the effort of our reach.
This area of influence includes physical space and people who can enter this radius of our arm's length. With the touch, the movement of our hands, or the sound of our mouth, everything within this range can be affected by Jesus' mark of love in us.
With the seal of fire upon our arms, we can do the works Jesus would do. Our actions become what Jesus wants to do in that area around us. And indeed, wherever our feet tread, the Kingdom of God has dominion, and that space belongs to Him.
What can you achieve when you extend your arm forward, to the right, left, up, and even behind you? This area is your responsibility so that you can become proof that God exists. This area of influence begins where you wake up, your home, your family, and as you move back and forth, your work, your community, and even the people you don't know who come within arm's length. These and others are opportunities to extend the actions and love of Jesus through you.
Everything within the reach of our arm, both in length and skill, must be in the exclusive possession of the King because of His seal on our arms.
John the Baptist said that whoever received his preaching of repentance, because the Kingdom of God has arrived, confirms, or puts the seal that God exists.
Wherever our arms reach, the fiery seal of love will stick to and give evidence that God is real. Jesus asks those sealed in the arm to be Jesus to the people around them. And their works will make many to glorify God.
My Prayer:
Dear God, without You, I cannot do anything. You are the true light. I recognize that You have given me several talents. I want to consecrate all of my gifts for Your glory. Lord Jesus, anoint the work of my hands to make Your name known. Holy Spirit, teach me to do all things with the mark of Jesus. I want my works to show the people around me that God exists. And as I am faithful with the little, You will put in bigger things to extend the Kingdom of God. In the name of Jesus, Amen.
About this Plan
This devotional is the second part of the "Sealed" series based on Song of Songs 8:6. In 7 days, we will meditate on God's seal on our arm and His burning, jealous love for us.
