Faith in Action - Emunah

DAY 4 OF 7

Destined to Triumph: Embracing God's Purpose in Overcoming Challenges

Are you facing monumental challenges today? God handpicked you for this problem. God knows that you can handle this problem or this pain. He has not selected the problem for you, He has selected you for the problem. It is important to embrace these challenges, knowing that our faith is augmented by His divine power.

Don’t allow fear to destroy your purpose. You have been placed in your current position by God’s divine design. Esther was brought into the kingdom for the specific purpose of rescuing the Jews. However, she was initially afraid to step out in faith. If we let fear take the wheel, we might miss out on the blessings and opportunities that God has set aside specifically for us. The “never before” can happen only when you are willing to do something that you’ve done “never before." In this context, we have to understand two things:

  • The opposition you are facing is not because of “who you are” – but because of “whose you are.” Your identity in Christ may be the reason for the opposition that you are facing. Haman was an Agagite, a descendant of King Agag who was an Amalekite. The Amalekites and the Jews had a long history of wars. Haman’s anger against Mordecai came from that generational vengeful hatred that he carried towards the Jews. Are you facing opposition today? The hate that is directed towards you may actually be an attack on your identity as a Child of God.
  • Esther’s apprehension about meeting the king stemmed from the fact that she had not heard from him in 30 days. Even if it's long since you’ve heard from the King, He still loves you. It could be a long time since you have heard from the Heavenly king, but He is still mindful of you. His love for you is constant and unwavering, even when it seems like you haven't heard from Him in a while.

So, cheer up! Remember the purpose you were created for and launch out in faith!

Reflection time:

  1. In light of Esther's story, have there been instances in your life where fear has held you back from stepping out in faith and seizing opportunities?
  2. How can you encourage yourself to take bigger steps of faith in order to witness larger miracles in your life?

Have a little chat with God about all that you have written down.

About this Plan

Faith in Action - Emunah

Faith demands action! Biblical heroes demonstrated this faith by bravely embarking on the paths God set before them. Over the next 7 days, we'll delve into Esther's life, observing her dynamic faith. By launching out in faith, we submit to God's grand design for us. It's in taking those bold steps that we truly apply our faith in action and open ourselves to the blessings that await us.
