How to Overcome a Scarcity Money Mentalityનમૂનો
Even when I was homeless at 19 and living in my car, I tithed.
I know that’s hard to believe, but it’s true. If Abraham and Jacob can do it, so can you and I.
In today’s society, we’re constantly looking for a shortcut…a way to get rich quick. Tithing is the exact opposite. That is probably why when times get tough financially, it’s the first expense on the list to get the axe.
A scarcity mindset around money, at its core, comes from fear and a lack of trust. We’re afraid that we won’t be taken care of. We’re afraid that money is in limited supply. We’re afraid that what we give will never make its way back to us.
As Christians, we have to trust in the Word and it is clear: Honor the Lord with your wealth and with the firstfruits of all your produce; then your barns will be filled with plenty, and your vats will be bursting with wine.
When times get tough, give freely and trust. Let us put our faith in the One who has never, and will never, fail us.
What is your relationship with giving? Do you do it with a full and eager heart? If not, why do you think that is?
