After Death: Discovering Heavenનમૂનો
“I was not in any pain. I was not in any fear or discomfort.”
No More Weeping, No More Pain
From our Earthly perspective, we only know one way. We have one understanding, one reality, one perspective on death.
Here, there is ...
Pain,
Mourning,
Crying,
Weeping over the loss of what has passed away.
For us, this isn’t just what we navigate in times of loss and death; it’s what we navigate in this fallen world every single day.
That’s why this truth from John is so foundational to the hope we have in heaven. In this world, we’re walking through an order of things that will one day be no more. Then, a new order of things will permeate this new world.
There, there will be ...
No pain,
No mourning,
No crying,
No weeping over the loss of what has passed away.
The harsh realities of this fallen world will fall away with the rise of Christ, and we will finally take up residence in an eternity where we will never experience sorrow, loss, or death again. There will be no more weeping and no more pain, once and for all.
As you move through the pain and sorrows that meet you in this world, remember that heaven awaits you. Let your heart be comforted by the promise that one day, Jesus will wipe every tear from our eyes, end our suffering, and welcome us home to heaven where weeping and pain will have no place.
A Prayer
Lord, I know there is pain in this life. I’ve experienced my own share of loss, grief, and weeping over what once was and will never be again. Thank You for the promise that there is more to the story. Thank You for the gift of an eternity where we will never meet weeping and pain again. Help me to hold on to that promise as I face the pain of this world, knowing there’s a new, better one waiting for me with You.
