Glowનમૂનો
Have you ever been in a dark, unfamiliar place? Maybe you stayed in a hotel and needed to use the bathroom at night. Without a source of light, you'd be reaching out for a wall to guide you or tripping over your luggage. Whenever we're in dark, unfamiliar spaces, we remember just how grateful we are for a bit of light. Thankfully, that's one of the things Jesus brings to our lives.
After Jesus' death, all of his friends and followers were doing what they could to mourn the loss of their friend while showing up to support each other. Mary, one of Jesus' followers, showed up at the tomb a few days after his death, and that's when her whole life changed because the tomb was empty . . . and then Jesus showed up.
While Mary grieved and felt surrounded by the darkness, Jesus showed up and offered her some light. She had been beaten down by the days of hardship and loss, but then she heard the familiar voice of Jesus who offered her hope and a new way forward. Jesus showed up when she needed it most and helped light the path in front of her.
When we're feeling lost in the darkness and we're grasping for a wall or some other support, Jesus offers us light. Jesus helps us see what's in front of us and guides us closer to God. His light shows us how to live, and it can't be overcome by the darkness. No matter what the darkness tries to show us, we can remember Jesus is the light in the darkness.
