Woman of Praise: A 3-Day Journey With Tammy Hotsenpillerનમૂનો
Faith About Something Bigger Than Yourself
“Now there was one, Anna, a prophetess, the daughter of Phanuel, of the tribe of Asher. She was of a great age and had lived with a husband seven years from her virginity; and this woman was a widow of about eighty- four years, who did not depart from the temple, but served God with fasting and prayers night and day. And coming in that instant she gave thanks to the Lord and spoke of Him to all those who looked for redemption in Jerusalem.” —Luke 2:36-38
This woman (Anna) did not give up. She did not give in. She fasted and believed in her prayer request. That she would see in her lifetime the Messiah, the Anointed One.
Her prayer was answered.
It just so happened that Mary and Joseph came to the temple at the very moment she was there.
How perfectly timely is our God?
Her fast fueled her faith!
Do you think you would stand at the temple gate day after day waiting to see the Messiah?
Is your faith bold enough to withstand the long hours and endless disappointments that come along? For Anna, she had hope and confidence that God would come through for her.
And He did.
