HOMEનમૂનો

We all have this longing for home. We were made that way. And we can all be at home with the heavenly Father. We can do this through spiritual disciplines, and today’s study is on the power of prayer.
What’s prayer? Conversing and communicating with God. Talking to Him aloud or within our thoughts. But ultimately, prayer is simply bringing the real you before the real God.
Interestingly, the thing about the practice of prayer is it almost always involves other disciplines (if it is to go well). Things like solitude or fasting or worship go hand-in-hand with prayer. So many opportunities to flex our new muscles of spiritual disciplines.
As we look at the life of Jesus, we find He lived in constant awareness of God’s presence. In fact, He was so constantly aware of the presence of God that the line between praying and just talking was essentially erased. And that’s where we want to get, too. At the end of the day, the goal of prayer is to be in constant presence with the Father.
So, as you go about your day, commit to devoting yourself to prayer no matter what you’re up to. And as you do, be at Home with the Father.
Check out today’s video for more.
Today’s invitation:
Commit to setting an intention to turn to God. When you’re confused, or grateful, or anything else… Turn to God. Embrace the gift of prayer.
