Reset Your Life: Wisdom From the Book of Ruthનમૂનો
Turned Around by Faithfulness
The story of Ruth started with despair, pain, and bitterness, but today, we’ll see how God used those awful moments to make something new. Back in chapter 1, Naomi had hit rock bottom and thought her life was over. She’d lost hope and purpose. But she had Ruth’s faithfulness, which made all the difference.
Maybe you feel like you’re at rock bottom now—like a better future isn’t possible. But with God’s help, it’s possible to improve your life, overcome past hurts, and find purpose in your pain, even if it takes some time.
Naomi and Ruth made small, daily choices that led to a better future. Some days were particularly meaningful, though most were ordinary. But those consistent, ordinary moments of faithfulness led to lasting life change.
Miracles Happen All Around Us
Most of us would like to see God perform a miracle in our lives—but it’s easy to miss that the miracles are happening as a result of ordinary acts of faithfulness. The story of Ruth is about God doing a slow-motion miracle through ordinary people. He doesn’t show up with lightning in the sky or angelic messengers. Instead, He shows up through acts of generosity and kindness, which, over time, lead to healing, hope, and a better future.
Do you want something to change in your life? Well, it likely won’t happen overnight. But, if you keep pursuing God and choose kindness and generosity, you might just get to see God do a slow-motion miracle in your life as well.
Now, you might be wondering, wait, it seems like the end of the story—isn’t there one more day left? You’re right, there is. Because when God does a miracle, it usually has a ripple effect. So tomorrow, we’ll look at how our faithfulness can impact people we may never meet.
For today, remember that God is good, even when life is painful. He doesn’t promise to shield us from the pain of life, but He does promise to be with us and to help us move toward a healthier future.
Pray: Dear God, thank You for being present every moment of my life. When I doubt Your plan or Your goodness, help me remember that You’re working all things together for good. In Jesus’ name, amen.
