A Kid's Guide To: Knowing God Is Always Goodનમૂનો
When the End Comes
The Lord isn’t slow about keeping his promises, as some people think he is. In fact, God is patient, because he wants everyone to turn from sin and no one to be lost.
2 Peter 3:9 (CEV)
Do you ever get in a hurry for the end of a story in a book or a movie? You may get tired of all the bad stuff in the middle when you know it has a good finish.
We also know the end of the world’s story is going to be good—no more bad guys, no more pain, no more goodbyes, and, best of all, we’ll get to be with Jesus face to face!
So it’s easy to want to skip to the end, but God is being patient in bringing the story to the end. Why? Because he wants to give everyone plenty of opportunity to turn from their bad ways, ask forgiveness, and live for him.
How awesome would that be? Imagine your worst enemy becoming your brother or sister in Christ! It takes an amazing God to do something like that. Now imagine you and all your friends sharing your love for Jesus and helping each other live for him. Imagine never being separated from anyone you love.
You don’t have to just imagine these things. You can help make them happen by loving Jesus and telling others about him!
It’s good to think about the end of the story and the things Jesus promises us. It helps us to wait and to pray for people to turn to God.
