God's Life Planનમૂનો
DAY TWO
The First “S”- Surrender
I have been crucified with Christ. It is no longer I who live, but Christ who lives in me. And the life I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me. Galatians 2:20
As I continue to ponder the meaning of life and my part in it, and as I’ve become convinced that I had a skewed view of success and satisfaction in life, I believe the secret to discovering God’s plan is surrender. Perhaps you have never taken the first step onto the way, the truth, and the life. I am a follower of Jesus Christ. I believe God sent His only son, Jesus, to live on this earth and to die as the ultimate sacrifice for our sins. This was necessary to give us the holiness demanded by heaven. By admitting that I am a sinful individual who needs a savior and surrendering myself to Jesus, I am signing the rights of my life now and eternally over to God.
From the moment you make that decision of your will, you begin a new journey in this life. All of a sudden, your citizenship is in heaven (see Philippians 3:20), you are adopted by the King of the universe (see Ephesians 1:5), and from now on, you will feel like an alien on earth. I hear the refrain from the hymn, “Turn Your Eyes Upon Jesus”… the things of this world will grow strangely dim.
Perhaps you fully believe in Jesus Christ. You would call yourself a Christian. But if you are honest, like I was on day one of this plan, you are still operating under some self-made life plan. Have you truly surrendered this life to Him?
I know that may sound strange. Please don’t misinterpret this as a calling to move into a cave in the woods where you will not be tarnished by the world. No, we still live and breathe in this world, and God has created this world for us to enjoy, but He wants to show us His plans for us while we live here.
In the ministry I serve, we call this “personal abandonment and absolute trust”. Are you willing to take the risk of putting everything on the line? Can you imagine kneeling at the altar of God and giving Him the title to your house, your retirement account, your family, your dreams, every single part of who you are, saying to Him, “I surrender all?”
This is the first step to living God’s plan for your life.
About this Plan
Most Christians have discovered that only God can fill the void in our souls that the world has never been able to fill. However, we frequently try to live by the world system. We still esteem those who have wealth, power, and fame. We still long for pleasures, adventures, and conquests. For the next 5 days, we will discover God's Life Plan as we explore 5 S's.
