Gratitude That Glorifies Godનમૂનો
Yourself
Let’s be honest. We live in a very self-centered society. We are literally so self-focused that electronic manufacturers created a “selfie camera” on the front of our phones. Now we can take our own photos, of ourselves that we can post on our own social media feeds for our own followers so they can be jealous of our own lives.
Why do we try to put on a mask of perfection on social media, but the moment we look in the mirror, we see someone staring back that isn’t enough for us?
I want to remind you God created you. What do you think God would say if He were to describe you? He would use words like loved, chosen, holy, a royal priesthood, a temple, strong, courageous, and so much more.
In our comparison culture, it’s easy to feel like you’re not enough. Remind yourself that the God of the universe is so grateful for you that He made you in His own image. If He is grateful for us, we can challenge ourselves to be grateful for us too.
Pray:Spend time today praying for yourself. Stand or sit in front of a mirror and look at God’s creation staring back at you. He created you, and He knows every hair, wrinkle, scar, fingerprint, and strand of DNA. What you may think are flaws, He knows is a masterpiece.
PS. If your family needs prayer, we’re serious about it. My wife Olivia and I would love to join you in prayer for your family. Visit:varsityskate.org/prayer
About this Plan
It’s hard to be grateful in the comparison culture we live in. I need more influence, money, time, vacations, a bigger house, and a nicer car. Have you ever thought that? What if God has given us more than enough, and we refuse to glorify Him because we aren’t grateful for what we have? Over the next seven days, we’ll practice glorifying God through gratitude.
