Who Am I? Know Self. Know Christ.નમૂનો
We need to watch over our hearts with all vigilance (Pro. 4:23), tending to them carefully. Pray, using the Scripture passage to guide your prayers. Journal your prayer. This important spiritual discipline keeps our minds focused. Ask the Lord to reveal the condition of your heart today. Trust His gentle ways and be sensitive to the Spirit. Where do you sense resistance, fear, apathy, despair, sorrow, hurt, or something else that is keeping you at an arm’s distance from the Lord? Journal your thoughts and prayers.
Read through the following questions. Take time to reflect upon these questions answering them in depth. First, just familiarize yourself with them. Then, pray through these during the next few days and answer these questions. Continue to read through Ephesians 1 and 2 as you reflect upon these questions and your answers.
- “Who am I?”
- “How do I see myself?”
- “Where do I find my identity?”
- “Who does God say I am?”
- “How often do I fix my eyes upon my Lord and my God?”
- “Who am I in Christ?”
- “Do I see myself according to the Word of God, according to my own ideas or according to other people's perceptions of me?”
- “How has the surrounding culture or religious traditions affected me?”
Be encouraged. We are transformed by the renewal of our minds. It is essential to observe what we think with what God's Word says. What thoughts or opinions of yourself need to change?
Close your time with the Lord while reading Psalm 100.
Choose a portion of Ephesians 1 and 2 to commit to memory. This new year renew your mind and heart with God's Word!
