How to Hear God's Voiceનમૂનો
Day 2: The Different Ways That God Speaks:
Today, we’re focusing on the different ways that God speaks to us. The Bible is PACKED with the words “hear” and “listen.” Listen is mentioned even more than talk, love, and faith. It appears 696 times!
Listening is important! And to listen accurately, we need to be aware of the ways God speaks.
First, God speaks through His Word. As we get into His Word, we will learn more about His character, His will, and His ways. As we seek Him through His Word, He will lead us in the way He wants us to go.
Secondly, God speaks to us through His Holy Spirit, who lives within us. This will require a level of discernment that we can sharpen. How do you know if the Holy Spirit is speaking or if it is your own inner voice? The Holy Spirit’s voice will always line up with God’s Word. By knowing and spending time in God’s Word, we can better discern the voice of the Holy Spirit and heed His guidance!
Third, God speaks to us through His people. Throughout the Bible, we see God use prophets, apostles, and other anointed individuals to get His message to those He knows need it. Today, whether it be through a sermon, an encounter with an old friend, or even a YouVersion plan, God can use it to speak to you—just make sure it ALWAYS lines up with His Word.
The fourth way God speaks to us is through dreams and visions. God can use dreams and visions to give us an idea of what is ahead—and how we should respond to it. God gave visions to biblical figures such as Joseph, Daniel, Ezekiel, Paul, and John.
God speaks to different people in different ways. Don’t be discouraged if God doesn’t speak to you through dreams and visions or through His people. He wants to speak to you and will communicate to you what you need to know. Your responsibility is simply to listen and obey!
