40 Days of Prayer & Fastingનમૂનો
Intimacy in Relationship
To be intimate with God is to be known by Him and also to know Him. We can see part of this in Psalm 139, where David shares the intimacy God has with us in His knowing. From our day-to-day actions to the times before we were even born, God sees and knows every detail of our lives. The question has never been whether or not He knows us or desires to be intimate with us. The question is: are we willing to give that same intimacy back to God? Do you know Him? Intimacy was never meant to be one-sided. By definition, intimacy is the state of having a close, personal relationship — it’s two-sided. God desires to be in a two-sided relationship with you. Jesus’ death and resurrection took place so you could have access to God freely and develop this time of intimacy with Him. As you engage in this fast, take extra time to just be with Him for the sake of being with Him. Read through Psalm 139 and ask God how you can start to cultivate intimacy with Him. Develop a relationship where He not only knows you, but you also know Him.
Prayer: God, there is no one else like You. Before I ever knew You, You knew me intimately. Just as You know me, I want to know You! Show me anything I might be holding back from You in our relationship. Teach me what it looks like to be in a real relationship with You. Any time spent with You is more than I could ever ask for. I love You, Lord! Amen.

About this Plan
Fasting is a spiritual discipline that calls us to deny the desires of our flesh and fill ourselves up with God, His Word, and His presence. Over the next 40 days, we will grow in intimacy with God, position ourselves to be in His perfect will, and learn about His dunamis power in our daily personal encounters.
