SPRINT WITH THE JOY OF THE LORD IN THE LIGHT OF HIS LOVE AND FIND PROTECTION.

The storm rolled in quickly as I was running in my neighborhood. The sky was getting darker, and the wind was blowing hard all around me. Then, I saw a flash of light, and lightning struck a tree in front of me. If I had left a little earlier on my afternoon jog, I would have been hit by the huge tree. I stopped and said a prayer of praise to God, who protected me that day. He was my light in the midst of the darkness. New life quickened in me as I sprinted home with the joy of the Lord filling my soul.

Are you in the midst of a storm and need protection? Run with the Lord toward His light instead of running away from Him. Praise the Lord for His promise to protect and deliver you. Know He will be your very present help in trouble. Be aware of the darkness around you and turn towards the light of the Lord. Stay the course, and let His light shine on you. In Him, there is no darkness at all!

PRAYER

Dear Lord, My heart is filled with a new passion for you. My soul is energized and ready to be used for your glory. My life is beautiful with your light guiding me. My days are brighter with you. Even on stormy days, I see your light shining through. Your love is my sunshine of hope. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Thank God that He will awaken you with new life as you come out of the darkness and into His great light!
