10 Habits Of Intimacy With Godનમૂનો
Day 5: Your Healing Plan
From your "sit place with God," may you be experiencing daily His presence in love, truth, grace, and forgiveness that cares for your heart well. Pain and disappointments will find their way into your life; therefore, you need a healing plan. When hurt finds its way to you, be quick to share your hurt with God and invite the Father of mercies and God of all compassion to come and sit with you. He first wants to offer grace and comfort in His presence, much like a parent to their hurting child. Then, He wants to offer you His healing words that will help you to be strong and secure on your journey of healing.
Remember, a healing journey is not an overnight stay; it is a process. A journey of you and Him working through your story, pulling to the side of the road as often as needed to care for your wounds, healing your heart with His strong loving arms around you, His healing words streaming down from heaven to your heart. God is your Redeemer and Restorer who is committed to making you strong, steady, secure, and sure in your restoration process. Only Jesus can heal you at the depth of your hurt. Look to Him for your healing. Live healed!
Reflection
First, journal from your "sit place with God" your uncensored thoughts and feelings, believing that your God values and desires to hear your voice. Your voice does come to His ears, for He desires to listen attentively to you. Second, pause to receive grace and comfort from His presence, His strong, loving arms for you personally. Don't rush this time. Feel His loving arms around you. Feel the strength of His real presence to you. Feel how His love and grace nurture and center you. Third, journal what you believe you hear God say to you in His healing life words to you. Do not censor. Believe God will speak to you, believe and receive all that He speaks to you. You are His child and you belong to Him. You will know they are His words because they will match the written Word of God.
About this Plan
For way too long, intimacy has been presented as going to your church of choice, reading the Bible, serving, or praying. God is a relational God, who desires foremost to be personally involved with you in every aspect of your daily life. The purpose of this reading plan is to help define the habits of developing intimacy with God and for you to enjoy the experience of intimacy with Him daily.
