Praise In the Presence of God

DAY 69 OF 365

Free from Suffering

Why did Jesus Christ endure a lifetime of struggle, loneliness, stress, temptation, pain, and anguish? And why did He die a slow, torturous death of crucifixion, rather than one of instant, painless demise? The answer is that this Lamb is a means of restoration as well as redemption, and His sufferings were an essential part of that mission.

Hebrews 2:10 says that through Christ’s sufferings there was a perfecting, that is, a completion of His Saviorhood. That tells us this: The Son of God submitted to a plan that would include a lifetime of the same kind of suffering you and I experience. And this plan would be a means of setting us free from the oppressive power of that suffering.

About this Plan

Praise In the Presence of God

Pastor Jack Hayford points the way to the life-changing pathway of praise. No matter how you feel, praise will shape what your experiences will become. When doubts come, praise God that His Word will never fail you. When fears taunt, praise God that His presence never leaves you. When questions arise, praise God that His wisdom holds every answer. Praise leads you to the One who assures peace beyond strife, hope beyond trial, joy beyond sorrow, and life beyond all.
