Praise In the Presence of God

DAY 134 OF 365

True Worship

The Greek word proskuneo (worship) means “to prostrate oneself before God.” Humility is at the heart of true worship. This issue focuses not so much on physical prostration as on prostrating our pride before Him.

We need to lay our human wills before Him, to demonstrate childlike humility and obedience through our submission to His way in worship. Any human insistence on “my dignity” is unworthy. It is frothy stuff before the chabod, the glory of God!

Let us praise Him! Thank Him! Laud Him! Adore Him!

About this Plan

Praise In the Presence of God

Pastor Jack Hayford points the way to the life-changing pathway of praise. No matter how you feel, praise will shape what your experiences will become. When doubts come, praise God that His Word will never fail you. When fears taunt, praise God that His presence never leaves you. When questions arise, praise God that His wisdom holds every answer. Praise leads you to the One who assures peace beyond strife, hope beyond trial, joy beyond sorrow, and life beyond all.
