Infinitum Family Advent, Week 2નમૂનો
Generousity is Magic
Do you like magic? It can be so much FUN to watch something happen that you KNOW is impossible, yet your eyes tell you it happened! God’s kids being generous is a lot like that: magic. Jesus says (Luke 6:38), “Give, and you will receive. Your gift will return to you in full—pressed down, shaken together to make room for more, running over, and poured into your lap. The amount you give will determine the amount you get back.” That’s a promise from Jesus that even when there is no explanation for how it’s happening … generousity returns back to those who give it.
Sometimes we CAN see it: you smile at a stranger you’re passing on the sidewalk, and they smile back, and your heart is warmed: generosity given/received with an obvious explanation. But Jesus claims that even when you can’t track it, generosity comes back to us—and MORE than what you gave in the first place!
As we give people gifts this Christmas, let’s give with a heart full of generousity. Let’s not worry if people immediately make us feel good when they open the gift we gave and say thanks—we don’t have to worry about our generousity coming back to us at that moment. Look for the MAGIC—those moments when we didn’t expect generousity, but we received some anyway! This is how generousity works—when you’re the kind of person who gives it, you find yourself surprised by how, when, and where it shows back up to you!
