Time Alone With God A 4-Day Plan by Donna Pryorનમૂનો
Get to Know Who God Is
“Who does the crowd say I am?” and “Who do you say I am?” are the two questions Jesus asked His disciples in Luke 9:18-20. These are the same questions Jesus is asking us today. As we read the text, we see the answers to the questions are different. The crowds who knew of Jesus thought He was John the Baptist, Elijah, or a risen prophet. His disciples, those who knew Jesus, thought He was the Christ of God. Those who had a relationship with Him knew who He was. Those who walked alongside Him and followed His commands knew who He was.
Who do you say Jesus is? When we spend time with Him, we know the correct answer to this question. When we purposefully set aside time in our day to spend with Jesus, we build a relationship with Him. We don’t just know of Him; we know Him. And when we know Him, we know who He is.
When we have a relationship with God, we know Him by many names. Jehovah Jireh (The Lord will provide), Jehovah Nissi (The Lord is my banner), and Jehovah Shalom (The Lord is my peace) are just a few of them. Don’t get freaked out by the fancy names. Healer, Protector, Comforter, Redeemer, Friend, and many more. Call Him what you have known Him to be in your life.
This is what God wants to have with us – a relationship. This can only happen when we spend time with Him in prayer and reading His Word. God is waiting for us to set a standing date with Him every day so we can know who He is. God will never stand us up. He will always show up for us.
How can you make Divine Dates a priority in your daily schedule?

About this Plan
Spending time alone with God sounds simple, but a world filled with distractions and demands can make it challenging. For many of us it becomes a to-do list item. If we get to it, we get to it. If we don’t, we don’t. This 4-day plan will help reshape your thoughts on time alone with God and elevate it from the to-do list to the must-do list.
