Here I Am, Lord: Devotions from Time of Graceનમૂનો
Why Am I so Impatient?
Who do I think I am?
I must think I am the supreme commander of the universe. I want everything, and I want it now. It’s good to have a plan and move forward in life. It’s good to dream big and not settle for the status quo. But I hate it when other people expect me to get in line with their agendas. So why do I do that to other people?
You must think I’m pretty ungrateful, Lord. I want more than I have, and that makes me crabby, feeling sorry for myself. Is there hope for me? Can you teach me how to wait? I know that’s how your heroes of old learned your ways: “I waited patiently for the LORD; he turned to me and heard my cry” (Psalm 40:1).
It’s impossible to mistake your love for me. Love is the only answer for what could have led you to punish your Son for my sins. It’s impossible to mistake your wisdom--the world around me is so beautiful and well ordered. You are a genius beyond all understanding. I know your strength and power have no limits.
Please help me relax and enjoy you and the people around me more. Help me get my life more in tune with your agenda. What you want is more important than what I want.

About this Plan
God knows that our tongues and brains sometimes lack the words to say, and so he provided the beautiful book of Psalms in his Word to provide vocabulary for us to bring our thoughts and concerns to him. These devotions, one for each day of the month, use psalms to help you voice your needs and hurts and joys to the Lord.
