Divine Detoursનમૂનો
Unanticipated Detours
Detours can be very unpleasant, especially when you’re in a hurry to arrive at a particular destination. They may seem like a huge waste of time and energy, but detours can actually help you avoid experiences that are worse than a simple “waste of time.” Consider for instance, when you encounter a detour on the road. In that moment, you might feel annoyed, yet that detour is keeping you from driving over a rocky road that is being repaired, which could result in an accident. Life is full of sudden changes, where your deeply desired goals and plans take an unexpected turn. Maybe you lose a loved one, a job, or receive a hard “no” from a person you like. Perhaps you encounter an illness, an accident, massive debt, or so on. We are often so anxious to arrive at our destination that we miss out on what God wants to teach us in the process, through divine detours.
Trust, even when it makes no sense
While I don’t know what kind of detour or unexpected change you are currently experiencing, Idoknow we have a God that never fails to protect us, guide us, and save us. The evil that the enemy intended to use against you, God will use it for good. In a moment of detour, we may grow angry, impatient, or even depressed. Consider a child who does not understand why his father prohibits eating sweets late at night. The father has good intentions, specifically ensuring that the child can sleep at a reasonable time to receive proper rest. In the same way, we may not always understand why God allows sudden changes in our lives, yet it is often for our own good. Remember that while this path may be foreign to you, it’s not foreign to God. He has already been everywhere you will go. Trust that He is by your side to help you navigate.
