Should I Fear Ghosts and Evil Spirits?નમૂનો
Death is serious, not funny
“It is appointed for man to die once, and after that comes judgment.” (Hebrews 9:27)
The reality of physical death is undeniable, but what does that really mean? Is death just a natural phenomenon that inevitably belongs to the concept of life? Many claim it is. They hold the opinion that people come into existence by the natural process of conception and birth, and after a while simply cease to exist when they die.
The Bible does not agree. It says that death is “the last enemy to be destroyed” (1 Corinthians 15:26). It is something sad and evil. It was not part of God’s original creation but is caused by sin. And at the end of time, God will destroy death.
But until He has done so, death is serious. It is an enemy.
Moreover, the Bible says death is not the end. “After that comes judgment”, the book of Hebrews tells us. When humans die, their body returns to dust, as we all know. But our soul will live forever, either in eternal happiness in God’s presence or in hell apart from His presence, depending on our relationship with the Lord God during our life on earth.
Given the seriousness of death, do you think it’s okay to make fun of it?
