WHEN THE MIRACLE FEELS A MILLION MILES AWAY
Slow down a minute and look back on your whole life. Think about the moments that you have seen God show up. Think about the moments that were difficult, the moments that were joyful, the moments that you had doubts, and the moments that you were filled with confidence. Every moment matters. You may be in the middle of one of those moments right now.
I remember the moment that I first felt like I was called to serve the Lord through my music. I was young, and the joy and excitement I felt have never left me… it changed me forever. I was at a youth camp when the preacher on stage invited people who felt a calling of music ministry over their life to come to the front of the church to be prayed over. That deep down, indescribable feeling inside was rising up all weekend, and I knew the preacher was talking to me.
Through many events and a few years later, I began to take trips to Nashville, TN, where I worked with a music producer. Along that journey, there were certain moments when I had questions if God could still use me through the power of music to lead people back to Him. But I was reminded to never forget the call and the why in my life first. There were moments where the dreams and visions God had placed upon my heart felt so distant from where my feet were planted … I had to dig deep and remind myself of that call on my life long ago.
It took a little while to understand this, but the call wasn’t to be on stage, and it wasn’t to sing songs; the call was actually quite simple; it was to be a child of God first. That is what I was saying yes to when I first felt called to music ministry.
Right now, there may be desires, prayers, and dreams in your heart that feel like they are unanswered. Maybe there are miracles that you have been waiting on, but they feel like a million miles away. I want you to know that God's plan, His timing, and His ways are perfect. Stay close to the Lord in these moments, don’t abandon Him.
Psalm 27:14 says, “Wait for the LORD; be strong, and let your heart take courage; wait for the LORD!”
It can be so easy in our humanness to attempt to fix things ourselves, to hold onto every detail of our lives. But we are not in control. Be still right now and wait on the Lord, rest in His plans, and rest in His promise today.
REFLECTION
- Take some time to write down those desires, miracles, and dreams that are in your heart… give them to the Lord.
- Memorize Psalm 27:14 with me this week.
PRAYER
“Dear God, I admit that there are things in my life that I try to hold onto. I am waiting for miracles, but I choose to trust you. I ask that your healing power would touch my life and the lives of the people around me. Not my will Lord, but yours be done. AMEN.”

About this Plan
All of us go through struggles, trials, and pain in this life. What matters is what you fall into when you encounter those moments. Will you fall into the ways of the world or fall into the arms of Jesus? In this plan, you will be challenged to truly trust Jesus with whatever you are walking through and fall into His arms once again.
