River: I Don’t Care What It Looks Like
More than ever before, people care what they look like. Especially in this day and age of social media, so many care about how many likes they have, and how many compliments they get on a photo. Our actions are determined by what we perceive people think about us. This has caused us to dampen our passion in order to feel accepted and not be judged. But isn’t God worthy of all our praise? Isn’t He worthy of a louder shout than a football game? A greater celebration than the best party? Yes, He is!
2 Samuel 6:14 says, “And David danced before the Lord with all his might, wearing a linen ephod.” King David was so excited about the presence of the Lord that he didn’t care what he looked like, rather he gave God passionate praise. When was the last time you danced with all your might? We wrote this song to encourage people to dive into praising God with no restraints, even in the hard times:
Verse 1
Whatever comes, whatever goes
There is one thing that I know
You are faithful, You are faithful
In the midst of despair
You are God, and You are there
You’re always with me, You’re always with me
So I will trust You
When we praise Him, we take our eyes off our problems and we put them on Him instead. It’s the greatest thing you can do, no matter what you are going through. God wants us to go deeper in Him, and in response He wants to saturate us.
Chorus
You are a never-ending river
Flowing full of power
Washing over me
I will run into the water
Jesus take me deeper
Saturating me
Another great example in the Word is when the woman with the issue of blood reached out for Jesus. “When she heard about Jesus, she came behind Him in the crowd and touched His garment. For she said, “If only I may touch His clothes, I shall be made well. Immediately the fountain of her blood was dried up and she felt in her body that she was healed of the affliction.” (Mark 5:25)
What a great display of passion from a woman in need! She pushed through the crowd, even though people in that day would have labeled her unclean. She reached out, not caring what people thought of her, and she received her miracle!
Today, make that same choice to say, “I don’t care what it looks like, I’m diving in.” Give God your everything. Give Him more passion than any other area of your life.

I don’t care what it looks like
I’m diving in
Nothing will stop this passion
I’m praising Him
