Living in God's Presenceનમૂનો
To live in God's presence means to trust in His care.
“The Lord is my shepherd, I lack nothing.” (Psalm 23:1, NIV)
Living in God’s presence implies trusting in His fatherly care. The Lord knows what is best for us, and He wants to give us exactly that. David compares Him to a shepherd who provides for his sheep. Jesus also uses this example and explains how far He is willing to go for the well-being of His followers: “I am the good shepherd. The good shepherd lays down his life for the sheep” (John 10:11). Jesus literally did that when He died on the cross. He provided for our spiritual well-being and continually showers us with spiritual blessings.
But God also cares for our earthly needs. Jesus assures us in Matthew 6:32 that He knows we need things like food and clothing. If we focus on God’s Kingdom, on a life that honors God, He will take care of our needs just as He takes care of the needs of birds and flowers. Jesus does not promise us material abundance, but He does promise us everything we need and encourages us not to worry about these things.
Do you trust in God’s care?
