Do It Afraid- Choosing Faith in the Midst of Uncertaintyનમૂનો
Matthew 8:5-10
When Jesus had entered Capernaum, a centurion came to him, asking for help. “Lord,” he said, “my servant lies at home paralyzed, suffering terribly.” Jesus said to him, “Shall I come and heal him?” The centurion replied, “Lord, I do not deserve to have you come under my roof. But just say the word, and my servant will be healed. For I myself am a man under authority, with soldiers under me. I tell this one, ‘Go,’ and he goes; and that one, ‘Come,’ and he comes. I say to my servant, ‘Do this,’ and he does it.” When Jesus heard this, he was amazed and said to those following him, “Truly I tell you, I have not found anyone in Israel with such great faith.
In fear of losing his servant to paralysis, a centurion came to Jesus requesting Him to send word for his servant to be healed. A centurion is a commander who during times of war not only had soldiers under him, but he led those soldiers. Yet, that did not remove the fear he felt regarding his servant suffering from his present illness. Amazingly, Jesus even asked to come visit the servant in person, yet the centurion's trust was so great that he knew if Jesus just said the word, his servant would become healed.
The story continues to say in verse 13, "Then Jesus said to the centurion, go! Let it be done just as you believed it would. And his servant was healed at that moment." So again, we see that even though in fear of what could happen to his servant, the centurion still asked and believed that Jesus could do exactly what he asked him to do. We also see him asking on behalf of someone else (the servant), yet Jesus still answered his request.
Today, let's exhibit great faith and ask God for a specific need. Let's pray.
God,
In Matthew 8:5-13, I read that a centurion came to you on behalf of his paralyzed servant and you healed the servant with just a word. I know you're the same God from that day, today. Thank you for giving me examples in your word that help build my faith and trust in you. Lord, today I ask for (specific need).
I put my trust in your word and have decided despite any fear or feelings, I trust you to fulfill my needs. May I continue to exercise my faith by trusting you and believing in your word, knowing full well you still perform miracles daily. I love you and I thank you in advance. May what you do for me cause me to spread the news about you all over my region.
In Jesus' name, Amen.

About this Plan
Courage is not the absence of fear, but rather the assessment that something else is more important than fear (Franklin D. Roosevelt). When God makes us a promise or we need Him to show up in the midst of our situation, the only requirement asked of us is to believe. We hear all the time that we should be fearless & courageous. But, what if God only requires our Faith?
