Seek in Sevenનમૂનો
"But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well." Matthew 6:33
Have you ever wondered how we can live life on earth and carry out our divine purpose given by God? How do we pursue him and still make sure there's food on the table? How do we put him first and still prioritize our jobs and kids?
I have found that in order to live out our divinely purposed lives we need to develop a God-first lifestyle. We must not just seek the Lord but learn to seek Him first. Matthew 6 is an account of Jesus' actual words. It is His instruction to us. He tells us to seek first His Kingdom. He then gives a promise attached to this seeking. That all things, both that we need and desire, will be given to us. Do you have questions or worries? Something you desire to have? God is more than able to provide you with what you need and the things you want if you seek His Kingdom first. This is the first step in the God-first lifestyle. A lifestyle where you acknowledge God when you first wake up, before you get out of bed, and before you begin your day. Where your time with Him comes before work, before phone calls, and before leaving home for the day, life will make this challenging to accomplish. It will cause you to have to stretch yourself and be intentional. If you do this, if you prioritize seeking His Kingdom first, if you set aside the first moments of your day and protect this time from life's distractions, you will experience all these things being added to you. You will have both success and peace, provision and joy.
Today as you begin your Seek in Seven journey, journal your intentions. What do you want to get out of this time spent seeking God? Next, I want you to set an alarm for day two. Plan the time you need to start your day off, seeking God first. If you need to wake up earlier, plan for it. As you plan and make time to seek God, I can guarantee that He will reward you.
