Do Not Be Ashamedનમૂનો
God will change His children’s shame into praise
“I will save the lame and gather the outcast, and I will change their shame into praise and renown in all the earth.(Zephaniah 3:19)
Today’s verse from Zephaniah is a beautiful summary of this reading plan about shame. It says that God will save His hurt people and give them praise and honor. Why were they hurt and put to shame? They had rebelled against the Lord, and as a consequence were delivered into the hands of their enemies, all due to their own fault. But, they turned back to the Lord and were forgiven and restored. God does not remember their shameful deeds anymore! He does not hold their sin against them once they have been forgiven.
People who refuse to repent are called “arrogant boasters” and will be put to shame. Proverbs 3:34 also says that God mocks proud mockers but shows favor to the humble and oppressed.
In daily life, it is often the “humble and oppressed” who feel ashamed and the proud who make them feel embarrassed. But God will eventually turn things upside down. The wicked will shrink from Him in shame at His coming, and the righteous will be crowned with glory and honor. Remember who “the righteous” are: not people who are perfect in themselves, but sinners who are dressed in the clothes of salvation.
Have you accepted this gift of Jesus’ righteousness?

About this Plan
Feelings of shame can have an enormous impact on your life. Sometimes these feelings are justified, but often they are not, for example when you feel ashamed of your faith in Jesus. This reading plan presents some important Biblical truths about this topic and shows you why a child of God does not need to be ashamed in front of the Lord God or in front of other people.
