How Can I Handle the Trials of Life?નમૂનો
Travel light 🧳
God built you to travel through life as a conqueror, a queen, or a king. How you travel is an important part of the journey. John Maxwell recently said, “A crisis doesn’t make you—it reveals you.” We’re in one of the worst crises of our lives. Many people are shining like bright lights in the darkness, but others are manifesting issues. It’s important to travel light through life’s journeys.
I’ll never forget my first few international trips. I didn’t know I would be dragging my bags through train stations, taxis, subways, and buses. I didn’t know European hotel rooms were much smaller than our American counterparts.
Our life journeys are very similar to these experiences. It’s important that we travel light from chapter to chapter of life. The apostle Paul said, “Get rid of all bitterness, rage and anger, brawling and slander, along with every form of malice.” (Ephesians 4:31, NIV) "All" means anything that could slow you down or hinder your progress. The writer of the book of Hebrews penned these instructions: “...let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which so easily ensnares us, and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us.” (Hebrews 12:1, NKJV)
On your journey through this crisis, please take some time to get rid of all the emotional garbage, hurt, anger, and pain of the past. Don’t live your tomorrows looking in the rearview mirror. Take some practical steps to reconcile with people; build bridges with your family. Ask for forgiveness and forgive. God will help you resolve conflicts and build a healthy team approach to this battle.
Have you asked the Holy Spirit for help? Have you helped someone else or sought help from others? We are all struggling now, so we should seek to keep moving forward together. Winston Churchill once said, “If you’re going through hell, keep going.” I’m not stopping . . . are you?
You can choose to travel light on your journey, or you can struggle with tons of baggage. It’s your choice. Choose well because you are a miracle.
