Taste And See That The Lord Is Good!

What is one of the most tangible or amazing ‘spiritual’ experiences you have had, sensing God’s love, presence, leading or comfort?

CONSIDER:

If a religious belief-system made sense logically, but there was no experience of any spiritual power or reality to match that belief, what might that cause us to think about that religious belief? How important are our spiritual experiences?

How significant have spiritual experiences been to your own faith journey?

Do you think it possible that God might give some people specific spiritual experiences at specific points in their lives for a reason? Why might he do this?

What has our Lord done for you, and how has that affected you?

Many Christian churches are full of people with multiple stories each of the very real ways God has connected with them, revealing his love, bringing healing, leading them or helping them. What message does the existence of our many testimonies tell us?

How important might the various stories we have of how God has helped us be? What could (or should) they do for our faith and in our lives?

PRAYER:

Dear God, thank you that Christian teachings are not just a collection of good thoughts and ideas - but instead your actual word to us so we can know you, find your strength and serve you with our lives. Thank you that you love us and hear our prayers. Thank you that you answer our prayers, bring healing to our lives, help us overcome our sin, and call us to live for things that really matter. Thank you for the records of history that show us the difference you have made in people’s lives and in nations – just as you continue to do in our lives today. Thank you for the great reassurance these stories bring us that you really are there, you see us, you care for us, and you are with us.

We give our hearts and the way we live our lives to you as our greatest expression of thanks. Thank you!
