That Doesn't Just Happenનમૂનો
An Excellence of Heart
She saw the attending servants in their robes, the cupbearers in their robes and the burnt offerings he made at the temple of the Lord. (1 Kings 10:5)
Until this point, I have conveyed a lot of the queen’s experiences that had to do with food, service, and the building design of the royal palace and the First Temple. But no matter how beautiful a building is or how well-planned everything is thanks to skilled interior designers and architects, it still has no heart. The heart and essence of anything built has everything to do with the people you work with and those you serve. The Queen of Sheba encountered the excellence of Solomon's staff. Meticulously trained and carefully selected, only the “best of the best” would have been allowed to interact with Solomon’s guests and the queen’s entourage. That must have been an incredible honor! The people whom the queen encountered on her visit left an indelible mark.
In my opinion, King Solomon made sure he had the right people on board. They weren’t just a strong team, but they had team spirit.
When it comes to excellence, what matters most is who is surrounding you. I believe your God-given spirit of excellence will rise or fall depending on who is closest to you. Who are you allowing to speak into your life? Who are you doing life with? More than that, who are you following?
A spirit of excellence is impossible without God, but it’s also improbable without the right people in your corner.
The question is: Do you have the right people in your life?
