My Hero: Healing From Wounds of a Fatherનમૂનો
Day 3 - God’s Presence
We never have to worry about God’s presence in our lives because He’s always there.
Unlike our earthly fathers who can be absent, God will never leave us. This is the antidote to dealing with abandonment issues. Once we realize He won’t abandon us, we can finally put those feelings to ease. Not only will God not abandon us, but He is also CLOSE to us.
He is close to us in our darkest moments and in our moments of joy. He’s there when we need Him, and in those times when we think we can make it on our own.
You have tremendous value and worth to God. He is crazy about you, and because He’s crazy about you, He cares about every little detail of your life. He proved His love for you by giving up His only begotten Son to save you.
One of the people who understood this the most was David. He wrote about it Psalms 139. Pay special attention to verses 7-12. This scripture shows how present God is with us. It shows the intimacy He has with us. Focus on this whenever you start to feel low about your earthly father not being around. Remember that doesn’t define you, but your worth in your Heavenly Father’s eyes does. There is nothing you will be missing when you know God is your Father and has been there the whole time.
Look at the list you created yesterday. In what ways did God show up for you in those moments?

About this Plan
Dads can be such important figures they seem almost larger than life, like superheroes. God gave us earthly fathers to be extensions of Him to provide protection, guidance, and love. When they don’t fulfill those expectations, it can cause deep wounding. This plan covers ways we can get healing from the wounds of a father.
