BLESSING ACCOUNTABILITY!
Every day we wake up God has given us the power within to be of help to another soul. Our problem is that we allow living a busy life to get in our way.
Everywhere we go there are opportunities waiting and we often pass them by. Not because we want to, but because we are focused on what we have left yet to get done in the day. We are nonobservant and miss many blessings.
How many times have we went to the grocery store and saw a person on an electric scooter trying to grocery shop? Not all groceries are on the first and second shelves. Maybe we could be the arm that grabs that needed product off the top shelf with a smile!
"Don't withhold good from someone who deserves it, when it is in your power to do so." Proverbs 3:27
Most often people offer their help from a genuine heart when a friend or family member has lost a loved one in death. They are wanting to be a blessing, but for some reason, many refuse the help. I am not sure if it is because of the fog of grief, or the denial that we can’t manage it.
“When Moses’ father-in-law saw all that Moses was doing for the people, he asked, “What are you really accomplishing here? Why are you trying to do all this alone while everyone stands around you from morning till evening?” Exodus 18:14
Let’s face it, when we think we can do everything by ourselves and refuse the help of others, we are not only fooling ourselves, but we are filled with pride. We need the blessing accountability rule to apply to receiving blessings just as much as we need it in giving blessings!
The next time someone offers you their lending help, graciously thank them and accept it. It is another way to remain humble and God works through those who are humble!
But he gives us more grace. That is why Scripture says: “God opposes the proud but shows favor to the humble.” James 4:6
CAN YOU RELATE?
The biggest blessing and gift we can ever receive is the gift of salvation offered as a blessing of mercy and grace through Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior. To refuse the gift and blessing is to reject the giver and lose the blessing. May we practice daily blessing others and learning to be blessed by receiving. It truly pleases God!

About this Plan
We have all said it, and we have all heard it; “Please, may I help you?” After experiencing my husband’s forequarter amputation, we learned to receive is humbling. However, through being humbled came blessings! Walk with me on this journey as we discover how to give and receive with grace!
