eKidz Devotional: All About Purposeનમૂનો
Purpose In Helping Others
Have you ever dreamed of being a superhero, like Black Panther, Storm, or Spiderman?
Superheroes are strong, invincible, powerful, and each hero has a special skill that allows them to help those in need. They make a difference, and you were created to make a difference, too.
You may not have super strength, but do you have a special talent or skill such as singing, drawing, cooking, or computers?
God gave you these unique abilities to spread His truth and help others. He made you WHO you are to help WHERE you are. Our purpose is to help others.
Take Nehemiah for example. When he heard the wall of Jerusalem was broken and its gates had been burned, he was already in position to make a difference. He worked as the cupbearer to the king. He was exactly where and who he needed to be to ask the king for permission to help his people.
Nehemiah didn’t have superpowers, but he used his skills (relationship with the king) and talents (knowledge on how to build a wall) to help the people of Jerusalem. He found his purpose when he helped others.
Ask yourself: What’s an interest or skill you have that you’re good at? How can you use those traits to do one thing to help people around you?
Challenge yourself: We find purpose when we help others. Think of one thing you can do now to help people around you and do it.
Pray: God, thank You for making me unique. Help me to use my skills to make a difference in the world around me. In Jesus’ name, amen.
