Real Hope: Difficult Conversations

DAY 3 OF 5

Conversations On Parenting

Parenting can be a sensitive topic. It’s personal and people approach it from different perspectives. One aspect of parenthood that can get overlooked is that it’s not only a responsibility, but a privilege. Children are indeed a blessing. It can be hard to remember when we have so many people opinions and perspectives flying at us from every corner. Thankfully the Bible gives us the instruction manual to help mould our children, and we can pray too.

Today might be that day when you’re at the end of yourself, when you have been bombarded with parenting opinions, you have scrolled past the hundreds of Instagram posts of the ‘perfect family’, and your children are hard work. Even though it might be difficult, this is the time you need to get together with the Father in heaven and let Him work to rediscover your love for your children.

It might be early in the morning after the latest feeding, during your toddler’s nap time, or while you’re waiting for your teen to come home from a night out with friends. This is your moment to open your Bible and read about the love that God has for His children (that is you) and then to talk to Him about your children. Pray to Him. Let Him work in your life and the lives of your children. Whether it’s two or twenty minutes, it could prove to be the best thing you could do for your relationships with your children and God.

‘See what great love the Father has lavished on us, that we should be called children of God! And that is what we are!’

About this Plan

Real Hope: Difficult Conversations

We have all been in one of ‘those’ conversations that challenges us and makes us uncomfortable. This devotion is designed to encourage, challenge, and equip you to step into these conversations with confidence and give you the ability to navigate conversations in a way that glorifies God and points others to Him.
