Challenges in Everyday Christian Livingનમૂનો
Allowing God To Be In Control
The famous phrase "Your will...Your way" from Chris Tomlin's song 'Lay Me Down' is beautiful to sing but seemingly almost impossible to follow. We like to negotiate with God saying Lord, please help me fulfil my will even as I do 1, 2, 3 for you. If we are a little more considerate, we may say, "God, how about we do what you want but help me do it my way." The highest expression of our love to God is when we say, 'Lord, let your will be done in my life, your way." We can say this only when we believe the following.
We recognise
• God is sovereign and He has the best plan for me.
• God loves me more than I love myself
• God sees the end from the beginning
• God sees things I am not seeing
• God's plan for me includes my mistakes and shortcomings.
• God's plan for me includes others' mistakes and weaknesses that affect me.
Understanding the above is not natural, but it comes with an intentional walk with Christ. As we wait on the Lord, meditating on His word and incorporating it into our everyday life, we can see and understand how the dots connect and how God reveals His plan in us.
Never underestimate
• Who God can use in your life.
• When people encourage you, go with the flow, it may be God working through them to open doors.
• When people put you in difficult situations, trust God and follow his guidance. You will see God is watching and protecting you from harm people intend towards you.
• Be thankful for the opportunities you get. Do them diligently. It may be a dot in God's big plan.
• Intentionally listen to God and not people. Sometimes God tests us by allowing people to lead us astray. Thank them for helping you see God in your life.
• Wait patiently until the dots connect.
Even as we conclude this devotion, I pray that each one of you will be amazed at how God will lead you through this journey of life as you enjoy God carrying you through it. God bless.
Prayer: Lord, we submit our lives into Your hands. Please help us to align our desires with Your plans for us.
