Reset After Easter: A YouVersion Rest Plan for Pastors

DAY 1 OF 3

We designed this Plan to help you reset, and to renew your mind by allowing Scripture to wash over you. For the best experience, we recommend that you find a quiet spot and listen through headphones, with your eyes closed. Just tap the play icon to start listening.

Reflect.

Think back over the last few days.

Remind yourself, one moment after another, of all the things you saw God do through your church.

Try to picture the faces of some of the people Jesus gathered to Himself.

Now, project your imagination a little into the future.

Think about some of the ways you expect the Holy Spirit will be transforming their lives in years to come.

Now think about the generations that will follow them, people whose lives will be different now because of their transformation.

Now that the weekend is over, take a moment to pause and reflect.

Slow down.

Breathe in, slowly, and hold it.

Now—slowly, gradually—release that deep breath.

Taste and see that the Lord is good.

He alone is worthy of all our glory and honor and praise.

When you’re ready, take a moment to pray:

Thank you, Father.

Thank You for the gift of Your Son.

Thank You for sending us the Comforter.

Thank You for Your grace and Your mercy.

Thank You for inviting us into Your family.

Thank You for equipping us, and for pouring out Your Spirit on us.

Thank You for choosing us—for choosing me—to share Your love with the world.

In the precious name of Your son Jesus,

Amen.

About this Plan

Reset After Easter: A YouVersion Rest Plan for Pastors

Because attendance typically surges on the Sunday that Christians celebrate Jesus’ Resurrection, Easter weekend represents one of the most rewarding — and challenging — times of the year for church leaders. We created this audio YouVersion Rest Plan to help church staff celebrate all that God did, rest from the work that went into preparing and executing, and reset for the ministry still to come.
