Homeschool Moms Teach the Psalmsનમૂનો
Day 1
Psalm 1
The “Homeschool” Psalm
Psalm 1 is one of many Scriptures we have as a foundation for educating our children at home. It encompasses our plans and purposes very succinctly. Where else will you read such poignant truth concerning our children walking in the counsel of the ungodly, standing in the path of sinners, or sitting in the seat of the scornful? Psalm 1 presents a Godly philosophy of home education:
-To avoid ungodly counsel, sinful paths, and scornful friends.
-To be able to teach, discuss, memorize, write, copy, share, study, and feast on the law of God all day and all night.
-To have children firmly planted in their faith, their conduct, and their path of life.
-To bear fruit and be prosperous, no matter what occupation lies in their future because God’s law lies in their hearts.
The world will tell you to fill your children’s heads with knowledge and they will be prosperous. Psalm 1 says to fill their heads with the Word of God and they will be prosperous. Keep protecting, teaching, and pouring the Word of God into your children and they will have strong roots. God has given you everything you need to do this! “The Lord knoweth the way of the righteous. . .” He is firmly acquainted with your homeschooling ways and your child’s education in Him will prosper.
To Do With The Kids:
Have the kids go outside and find a small plant that is thriving. Have them pull it and bring it inside. Talk about what is going to happen to this plant now. Why was it alive and growing outside? Read Psalm 1 together. Discuss the idea of not being firmly planted anywhere—what will happen to that plant? What if it lies on the path during the day, but is planted in the ground at night? Will that plant survive or wither? (You might want them to try this for a few days.) What about a plant that is not moved but stays in good soil day and night? Relate this Psalm and this uprooted plant with the reasons your family educates at home.
Pray together and thank God for the freedom to home educate and receive the good water, the good soil, and the good nutrients of God’s Word that allow them to grow strong in the Lord.
