Through the Bible: Deuteronomyનમૂનો
That Annoying Person
I will raise up for them a prophet like you from among their brothers. And I will put my words in his mouth, and he shall speak to them all that I command him.
Deuteronomy 18:18 (ESV)
These chapters in Deuteronomy are filled with laws that seem impossible to fulfill even for the holiest. Trying to be nice to that annoying person can be just as difficult. I had a relative that I would find most annoying and difficult to get along with. I found out that God loves this person just as much He loves me and that Christ came so that not by my strength but by His love and strength I am able to be nice, patient, and understanding. In Christ, I am a new creation, with the fruit of the Holy Spirit, now able to talk with my relative in a loving and understanding way and to actually enjoy being with him.
Prayer:
Father in heaven, thank You for being our strength. I pray for us to continuously rely on what Christ did on the cross, and not what we can do. In Jesus' name, Amen.
About this Plan
Deuteronomy is the final heart-pouring sermon of the dying Moses to the second generation of the Israelites, retelling the salvation history of their forefathers and the ways of life through God’s words as they enter into the Promised Land. The book ends with Moses calling readers for a decision: curse and death by disobedience or blessing and life by loving the Lord. Likewise, which will you choose?
