90 Days to Wholeness: A Porn Addiction Recovery Devotional for Womenનમૂનો
Here we are. Day 90. You made it! While temptation itself never really goes away (our enemy is not a clever one), the temptation to act out becomes easier to fight. In times of temptation, it is through the S.C.A.R.S. steps of healing and, more importantly, through Jesus that we can find our way back on track. These steps are not to be taken once or even just twice, but repeatedly throughout a person’s journey. With each time spent doing a step you’ll discover that there’s more to your story. But what you discover won’t always be negative.
Many times as we go through the steps, we’ll see how much we’ve grown in the process. And as we mature, the tough stuff (when it does come) gets easier to handle. The reason we do the hard work is so we can live in the freedom that was always meant for us. We find freedom not from sexual sin and freedom in whatever areas our addictions have also affected. We find freedom to live our lives no longer marred by sin and shame, but lived in forgiveness and hope.
Surrender. Confess. Accountability. Responsibility. Sharing. Which of the five steps throughout this devotional series has been the most helpful or has had the greatest impact on you?
Dear Reader:
Whether you were seasoned in your recovery or you began this devotional at the very beginning of your journey, I am so encouraged that you have made it to the end. As a former addict myself, I understand intimately what it is like to struggle in shame and silence—especially as a woman. It is my prayer that God used this devotional and the tools found within to bring you help, hope and healing.
Believe me when I say, I care deeply about you and your wellbeing. It is my life’s calling to help women just like yourself find the wholeness they so desperately crave. I do that by pointing you to Christ and instilling hope through meaningful recovery. Recovery is tough, but it’s certainly not hopeless. More importantly, you don’t have to walk through it alone.
As an added benefit to your recovery journey, I encourage you to check out the resources I have available at SheRecovery.com. There you can access weekly recovery groups, online community, and even virtual counseling & coaching services.
