Deeper Devotional Timesનમૂનો
Day 6 - Devotional Time in Your Life
Hello! We are almost at the end of our 7-day plan to make your devotional times the best that they can be. Today, we are going to look at devotional times as a part of our day-to-day lives.
As Christians, our devotional times should be the most important thing in our worlds. God is our number 1, and our devotional times are how we connect with Him and hear from Him. We should always be putting God first and prioritizing our times with Him. So how do we put that into action in our daily lives?
The most important thing is that we make our devotional times a daily routine. Every day we need to be putting all of the things that we’ve learned in the last 5 days into action. The cool thing for us is that it’s going to look different for everyone. Some people love to wake up before the sun and spend some time with God and others love to do it before they go to sleep. Different times will work better for different people so the key for you is finding out what works best in your world.
Maybe you can get up a bit earlier and go for a walk every morning to spend some time with God, or maybe you like getting up in the morning, making a coffee, and sitting on your balcony to spend some quality time with Him. The point is that it doesn’t matter what or where you have your quiet times as long as you can properly focus on God without getting distracted.
Jobs will come and go in our lives and church life will be up and down. Even some friendships that you have will not always be there or look the same but God always will be. He is the only thing that stays the same yesterday, today, and tomorrow.
Today’s devotional time - Find some time today to have a devotional time with God (10-20 minutes is perfect). After you have a devotional time look at your daily routines and see where you can regularly have a devotional time. It might be in the morning or it might be at night. It might even be on your lunch break!!! Whatever time you decide, make sure that it’s something that you can commit to every day. Set an alarm 10 minutes before if you have to remind yourself, just make sure that you have time every day to spend with God. Enjoy!
