They Could Notનમૂનો
THEY COULD NOT KEEP QUIET BUT PRAISED HIM LOUDLY.
‘I tell you’ he replied, ‘if they keep quiet the stones will cry out’
All four gospels talk about the ‘triumphal entry’ but I’ve chosen to write from Luke.
1. Along with the triumphal entry, Luke 19 has two beautiful teachings, one from Zacchaeus, the tax collector and the parable of ten minas.
2. Luke mentions about ‘Praise’, oh, what a delight!
When you read Luke 19:28-34, you will begin to understand the importance of ‘Obedience and Giving’. Jesus had carefully planned this trip. There was no last-minute rush. He knew supernaturally that about the particular young donkey he would use for the ride. Jesus instructed his disciples, go untie it and bring it here, if anyone asks you, why are you untying it?’ tell him, the Lord needs it. The owners of the donkey must have been so happy.
Obey and give to the Kind when He needs it. Don’t ask why? Just do it! What a blessing it is when you obey in small things!
When you read Luke 19:35-36, you will begin to understand the importance of ‘Honoring the King’. Spreading the clothes/garments on the pathway was a way to honor the person.
Friends, ask yourself these questions:
How can I honor the King?
What can I lay down?
When you read Luke 19: 37-40, you will begin to understand the importance of giving the ‘highest praise’. We see the fulfilment of Zechariah 9:9-13. This King that I’m talking about comes not to conquer with artillery, but with love, peace, mercy, compassion and kindness. Amen and Amen!
The people did not wait to praise Him when He entered the city, but when He came near, they shouted, “Blessed is the King who comes in the name of the Lord, ‘Peace in heaven and glory in the highest’. How could you keep these people quiet when they had seen so many miracles? Those pharisees told Jesus to keep his disciples under control. But Jesus said, ‘I tell you’ he replied, ‘if they keep quiet the stones will cry out’.
Take away:
1. Will you make a way for the King to enter your heart?
2. Will you keep quiet, when the King enters your heart?
3. If we don’t praise His name, even the rocks will cry out.
THEY COULD NOT KEEP QUIET BUT PRAISED HIM LOUDLY.
