Good Overcomesનમૂનો
Somewhere along the way, I learned that hope isn’t about holding on to a fantasy that everything will “fix” itself; hope doesn’t guarantee that our greatest dreams, wishes, and desires will come true—but it does guide us forward. Hope allows us to know, deep down, that regardless of what our circumstances bring, we have the strength to carry on.
We all must face the depths of heartbreak, navigate through loss and uncertainty, regardless of how painful it might be in the moment. This is a necessity for becoming who we are meant to be. Your world may never return to what it was prior to your sudden moment of impact, and your life might be forever changed—but maybe, just maybe, it is this very hardship that will carry you forward beyond anything that you dared dream possible. I don’t know where the path takes me from this moment forward, but I do know that my heart is filled with hope and rooted in faith. It is in times like these when the power of resilience comes into play for all of us. Our job is not to understand exactly where the journey will take us—we just have to show up, day after day.
It isn’t about wishing for life to return to what it was; it is about embracing what it will become. We are all facing a sudden moment of impact right now, and we have the opportunity, both collectively and as individuals, to decide what we are going to do with it. Not responding is not an option. The ultimate question is how we will respond. How will we use this, or any other unforeseen challenges in our lives, to propel ourselves forward? To be the best we can be? To make a difference? To change the world?
Here’s a secret: you don’t have to have an answer to any of those questions right now. And here’s another secret: those answers might change at any time. But the one thing that never, ever changes is the fact that you have a say. You have the choice. You have the power. You get to write your own ending.
And that is what makes you limitless.
