How You Can Be Sure You Are a Christianનમૂનો
A Great Hunger for Christ
Everywhere around the world, a hunger to learn more about Jesus can be found.
In Korea, Haiti, the Soviet Union, Siberia, and Romania thousands who heard the gospel through different means have decided to receive Christ as their personal Savior and Lord.
The Jesus Film alone has been seen by more than 425 million people with tens of millions expressing their desire to follow Christ. At one time, in Siberia, the Jesus film was shown round the clock. People endured the frigid Siberian nights just to learn about the wonderful Savior.
In Romania five to six thousand people meet in a church with only 1500 seats. The large majority would stand two to three hours. The street and the corridor are packed with crowds. Whether rainy or snowing or under the heat of the summer, they are there. It is heart-warming, says a Romanian pastor.
Seamen on Cuban, Ethiopian and Red Chinese vessels also want to quench their spiritual thirst. One missionary reported that when he is allowed to board Chinese ships, he finds many sailors willing and anxious to accept free Bibles. On one ship, his bag full of Bibles and New Testaments was emptied within seconds.
These are just a few examples of the many millions of people who are hungry for God throughout the world.
But billions of people are unsure of their relationship with God simply because they lack information and understanding that Christianity is not just a philosophy of life, not a code of ethics, nor a standard of performance. Christianity is a personal relationship with the living, all powerful Creator God through faith in His only begotten Son, our Lord Jesus Christ.
Take Buddha out of Buddhism, Mohammed out of Islam, and the founders of other religions out of their religions and little would be changed. But take Jesus Christ out of Christianity and nothing more than form and facade are left.
Christianity is a personal relationship with the living Christ!
But how can one be sure of his relationship with Christ? "If one were to die this very moment, can he know where he would spend eternity?" Perhaps you have only recently received Christ and are still not sure that anything has really happened – you are not confident of your salvation; you lack the assurance of your relationship with God.
You can be sure, absolutely sure. Understanding several vital principles gives that assurance.
About this Plan
The Christian life, as God intended it to be lived, is not a mere standard of performance, a code of ethics or a life of ritual, but a vital, personal relationship with the living creator God as He has revealed Himself to man through the person of the Lord Jesus Christ.
