A Holy Hustle New Yearનમૂનો
It’s a new year, a fresh start with an empty calendar and I can’t help thinking beyond quick-to-fail resolutions to something more intentional. How do we remain grateful during the busy times? What would it look like to have a holy hustle new year that put God’s will above our agendas? Maybe, like me, you’ve struggled with one of these recently:
● Being so busy you miss the point of your plans
● Feeling spread out with not enough time
● Finding time to focus on the deeper gratitude instead of quickly acknowledging the easy things
So what's the holy hustle solution? When it comes to "hustle" we're told that we need to do it all, cram our schedules full so no one ever misses out on anything, and make sure we make it all look Pinterest-perfect. On the other hand, if we do nothing, we may very well miss out on some incredible opportunities God has for us to serve our neighbors, love our families, and create lasting memories.
Holy hustle is our attempt to balance it all in a way that gives God the glory and keeps Him at the focus, no matter what our planner pages tell us. And we can do it in a way that embraces the way God created YOU to work and rest while remaining grateful, not guilty.
Colossians 2:7 is our reminder that a grateful heart doesn't come from a perfectly designed schedule but from being deeply rooted in God. When we put God first and fill up with His Word, the gratitude in our hearts will overflow into our activities - without the expectation of perfection.
This week, focus on quality over quantity and truly focus on God, even for just 5 minutes every morning as you hand Him your agenda and pray for His will to be done.
